Hello! I'm Crystal, aka darkly dreaming. I'm 34 and live in the Midwestern USA. I've been back into PSP since November of 2010. Prior to that I tried PSP for about a year back in 2005 or 2006. I've just recently begun trying my hand at tutorials. If you try one of my tuts and would like to show me what you made, please email me at darklydreaming33@hotmail.com. Happy Tagging!

PostHeaderIcon Finding Neverland

This tutorial was written by me on 10/22/11.
Any resemblance to other tutorials is a coincidence.
Click on image to view full size + animation.

Supplies:
1) Tube of Choice. I'm using one called "Early Visit" by Rachael Tallamy. This is a PTU tube, which can be purchased at Up Your Art.
2) Scrapkit of Choice. I'm using the PTU kit Finding Neverland by Created by Jill, purchased at SATC.
3) Vix Mask76 available here.
4. Fairyglitter animation by Missy, here.
4) Font of Choice.

Let's get Started....

1. Open New Canvas, transparent 750x700.
2. Flood Fill Background layer color of choice (I used black. Since we're using a mask with transparency, we need a solid background color when we go to animate).
3. Open Paper 7, copy and paste as new layer. Apply our mask. Merge Mask group.
4. Open Frame 4, copy and paste as new layer. Add drop shadow of choice. Use magic want and click inside the frame, Selections Modify, expand 20. Add new raster layer. Flood fill black. Select none. Drag below our mask group. Use eraser tool to erase the bits of the mask that hang below our frame.
5. Open Fantasyhouse, copy and paste as new layer above our frame and to the left side. Add drop shadow of choice.
6. Open flowers, copy and paste as new layer above our frame. Image resize 50%. Image mirror. Arrange to the bottom right of the frame. Add drop shadow of choice. Duplicate, Image mirror.
7. Open tube. Copy and paste as new layer above the others along the bottom of the frame. Add drop shadow of choice.
8. Open word art, copy and paste as new layer. Arrange above our tube and the door to the house. Add drop shadow of choice.
9. Open sparkles. Copy and paste as new layer. Arrange so most are in the trees of our mask layer. Then click on the frame layer and use magic wand, select inside of frame. Selections Modify, Expand by 10. Then click back on sparkles layer, selections invert, delete. Select none.
10. Open lights, copy and paste as new layer. Resize by 50%. Add drop shadow of choice.
11. Open flower swirl. Copy and paste as new layer. Image flip. Arrange at the top right of the frame. Add drop shadow of choice. Use eraser brush to remove the parts that go into the middle of our tag. Duplicate, Image Mirror. Duplicate Image Flip. Drag underneath our main tube but keep above the frame. Duplicate again and drag a bit more over to the right. Use eraser tool to remove anywhere it's unwanted on any of these layers.
12. Send our word art layer to the top.
13. Open window. Resize by 20%. Copy and paste as new layer, underneath our main tube layer but above the flowers and arrange at bottom right. Add drop shadow of choice.
14. Crop your tag (I had excess room at the bottom. Resize if desired).
15. Add your copyright information + name (if you're going to make more than 1 tag, just do your copyright info now. That way you can save a blank animated tag and make it easier on yourself to add additional names).

Ok, Let's animate...

16) Open the animation in Animation shop.
17) Back in PSP, Edit copy, merged.
18) Back in animation shop, paste as new animation.
19) Right click on our tag and click Insert Frames, From Empty. 14, 2, 10, carry forward contents of preceding frame. Leave all frames selected.
20) Click on the fairy glitter animation. Ctrl A. Make sure you are on Frame 1 of it, and drag over to Frame 1 of our tag and place the leaves where you want them. I did sort of in the bottom middle of the left most lantern.
21)  View animation. If you're happy with it, Save as a .mng so you can add your name and others (if you didn't already had your name). If you have your name already, go ahead and save as .gif.
22) If you need to add a name, go back to the tag in animation shop. Add your name as you normally would. Then when happy with it, copy just that layer and come into Animation shop. Paste as a new image. Repeat step 19 above on your name, so that it has 15 frames. Then Make sure to select all layers on the name, and all layers on the tag, and drag from Frame 1 of name to Frame 1 of tag and release where you want your name to be. View animation and if happy, save your .gif.

Thanks for trying my tut!
